The following article discusses Dialectical Historical Materialism using the context of the emergence of Social Sciences as a support for understanding. Apart from this fact, it should be noted that the work constituted one of the chapters of a doctoral thesis defended in the year 2022, and that used the DHM as a transversal support for the research, analyzing the limits and possible advances for the institution of an engendered educational policy in the capitalist mode of production of reality through the categories of totality, contradiction and mediation. Therefore, among others, the work aims to contribute and dialogue with other researchers who are interested in the analysis of educational policies with the intersection of the Marxist theoretical field.
