An investigation into how physical education in schools can promote the inclusion of students with autism is crucial, given the unpreparedness of educators and the increasing prevalence of ASD. This study aimed to identify the difficulties faced by students with autism in this context and the strategies employed by teachers to overcome them, as well as to develop support materials for educational practice. Using an integrative literature review approach, with a content analysis of 20 articles, the results highlight the importance of a sensitive and adaptive pedagogy focused on the individual capacities of the students. Educators must closely monitor these students and implement strategies that promote their social interaction and autonomy, aiming for more active participation in school activities. It is hoped that the developed material can stimulate reflections and drive changes in both the academic and social environments, contributing to the quality of life of individuals with autism.
