Introduction: The scientific-technological development in the treatment of dental caries makes it necessary to systematize the teaching-learning process and an appropriate didactics that allow students to acquire knowledge and skills for their exercise.
Objective: To elaborate an instrument to measure the correspondence of the study plan and the didactic strategy with the cognitive-practical capacities necessary for the treatment of minimal intervention of dental caries in the Stomatology Career valid in content and presentation.
Methods: Technological development study in which 28 experts selected based on their teaching and scientific career and experience in the subject participated, they offered their opinions through self-administered questionnaires regarding clarity, coherence, precision, relevance and presentation of the mentioned instrument. The Content Validity Ratio (CVR ') was used, by the Tristan method and the content validation index (CVI').
Results: All the items were valid in the 4 criteria measured, so the global and acceptable CVI coincided. The instrument showed clarity, coherence, precision and relevance with CVI figures of 0.90, 0.93, 0.92, and 0.94 respectively.
Conclusions: A valid instrument was developed in content and presentation so it is available to continue with the next stage for its final validation.
