The objective of this research is to investigate the effects of the Covid-19 pandemic on the pedagogical work of higher education professors who teach in teacher education programs at the Federal University of Rio Grande (FURG). The study adopts a qualitative approach and is theoretically grounded primarily in the works of Marx (2013) and Ferreira (2017). Data were produced through in-person semi-structured interviews with five tenured professors affiliated with the Institute of Education at FURG. The investigation was conducted in 2025, and the method used for data analysis was Reflexive Thematic Analysis. Among the findings, it was concluded that the factor that most affected the teacher education programs at FURG and, consequently, the training of students during the Covid-19 pandemic period, was the need to reconfigure the Supervised Curricular Internships. In addition, the establishment of remote work is also highlighted, as it has been modifying several aspects of professors’ pedagogical work.
