Abstract

This text is the result of a critical reflection on the text 'The curriculum and the challenges of the future' presented at the I National Conference on Human Capital by Maria Barbosa, president of the Benguela Higher Institute of Education Sciences. The reflection is part of the Pedagogical Supervision unit of the doctoral course in Primary Education Methodology and constitutes a space for developing article analyses for doctoral students in the Primary Education Methodology course at ISCED-Benguela. It is based on documentary analysis and bibliographic consultation. Finally, the role of the curriculum in determining the type of society desired is highlighted, which makes its alignment with current and future national and supranational trends important.
