This research aims to identify and analyze the narratives of Early Childhood Education, Elementary School and Special Education teachers who work with deaf students in a city in the interior of São Paulo. Nine teachers working in Special Education, Early Childhood Education and Elementary School participated in the study. Thus, the interviews were digitized and presented, establishing the relationships between the responses and formulating the categories: 1- Student participation; 2- School curriculum developed; 3- Student assessment and specificity of the deaf student; 4- Communication and interaction, use and importance of Libras; 5- Bilingual Education for the Deaf. The results revealed that understanding teachers' perceptions about their work with deaf students is the first step towards proposing policies that address the reality of including deaf students in the Brazilian education system.
