Abstract

The current article aims to identify and analyze the perceptions of educational agents in Minas Gerais through interviews with teachers and coordinators from two schools (School A and School B). A bibliographical study on high school in Minas Gerais was necessary to understand the policies for this educational level concerning the implementation of Law No. 13,415/2017. Two categories were highlighted in this article: (1) the absence of dialogue with the school community, and (2) the perception of the teaching staff regarding the impact of the aforementioned law on students' school life. For this, we utilized content analysis as established by Bardin (2011) and Moraes (1999), in order to identify the categories of analysis and theoretically engage with Ferreti and Silva (2017), Florestan (2020), Gramsci (2022), and Ortega (2023). From this study, it is concluded that the identified challenges do not stem solely from the intentions of educational policies but primarily from the effectiveness of communication and the adoption of these policies by schools.
