Abstract

The main purpose is to understand how interaction takes place and, consequently, the repercussions of the evangelical presence on social media using Twitter (X), a network that is very commonly used to show opinions and comments on recent situations. The primary interest lies in the perception of evangelicals, their customs, habits and beliefs. With this aim in mind, the text is organized into topics that cover the context of usage of social media in Brazil, as well as the particularity and reason why the network was chosen and, finally, an analysis of evangelicals in Brazil. The study is conducted through quantitative and qualitative analysis, and is based on the collection of data from tweets and comments that mention themes about believers in the chosen profile. Among the main results are the tendency for greater participation in issues about habits and values, the humorization of the evangelicals and the approval of the exposure of the so-called hypocrisy of some Christians.
