Preventing violence against children and adolescents seeks to eliminate/reduce the social, cultural and environmental factors that encourage the occurrence of violence. The objective was to analyze the strategies offered to young people to exercise their creativity, as well as the products created to prevent this phenomenon. This is an interventional action research, carried out in two public schools in a state in the Northeast of Brazil, with 13 adolescents, with an average age of 14 years. The proposals prepared by young people highlight the need for: information, reporting, seeking help from health professionals, trusted people, use of technology, and networking for violence prevention work. It is concluded that for teenagers to take a leading role, it is necessary for schools and other environments to expand spaces for listening, expression of creativity, understanding their potential, reflections and strategies for combating/preventing violence.
