Abstract

Extension activity can be considered one of the axes of the existence of Federal Institutes, especially in the effort to bring institutional practices and knowledge closer to the demands of the communities surrounding the campuses. Having said that, this article aims to present and discuss the Extension Curricularization (CE) policy currently in vogue in the Federal Network of Professional, Scientific and Technological Education, specifically at the Federal Institute of São Paulo, considering the teaching staff's point of view on this process. Therefore, this text is based on a bibliographic-documentary and field research methodology, with primary data collection, in a qualitative study that will seek to understand the CE implementation process, its advantages and challenges.
