This study also examines the incorporation of the concept of catharsis in the gramscian sense into the method of historical-critical pedagogy and, finally, based on this pedagogical theory and its gramscian conceptualization of catharsis, it problematizes some attempts to incorporate this category into theoretical and practical propositions in area of special education.
