The objective of this work was to identify and evaluate applications of computer programs, mainly those related to learning assessment (Symbaloo, Edmodo, Canvas, PadLat, Notion, BlackBoard, Microsoft suite, Google Workspace and Moodle), with a focus on active methodologies as tools for improving learning in distance learning, as well as surveying the strengths and weaknesses arising from these applications. Through qualitative research of an exploratory nature, through a systematic literature review, this article analyzed the use of computer programs as strategies for teaching through active methodologies. Through this research, it was possible to evaluate the use and approach of computer programs in the distance learning context. The research results indicate that the computer programs analyzed, although with some limitations, contribute positively to this teaching modality, especially in the learning assessment part, which support active methodologies promoting a satisfactory teaching-learning process in distance learning courses.
