Abstract

The present study is a literature review on the topic of schooling of trans people. This is a survey of productions published in the period from 2015 to 2020 in the Journals Portal of the Coordination of Superior Level Staff Improvement (CAPES) and in the Scientific Electronic Library Online - (SciELO). It was used the technical rigor of the Prisma protocol in the selection process of the analyzed material and 28 articles were selected and studied in full. It was verified the prevalence of the qualitative approach as the study method most used by researchers on the theme. The results show the researchers’ concern with the lack of actions and effectiveness of public policies in dealing with the violence that prevent a very high number of trans people from completing their school career. Furthermore, despite the significant increase in the number of productions about the trans people's schooling, there is still a lack of production on the theme, especially in the area of psychology.
