Objective: This paper presents the results of a study that addressed the perception of a group of teachers regarding the Accelerated Learning Program -in the context of the pandemic- in a rural school in northern Colombia. Methodology: using a qualitative methodology, through a phenomenological design, in which 17 interviews were analyzed. The results allowed to establish that the participants have knowledge about the program, however, they evidenced particulars that indicate difficulties in its development. In spite of the fact that the participants recognize the criteria to be taken into account to carry out the program, the need for training was identified as a relevant aspect. It was evidenced that the participants throughout the pandemic did not receive follow-up from governmental agencies. The digital gaps, evidenced by the students adhered to the program, played an important role in this imbalance.
