Psychic Suffering in the capitalist totality: women's experiences

Abstract

Experiences of women with their own psychic suffering were analyzed based on interviews with ten users of a mental health service. The analysis was based on Marx’s method and on the Theory of Social Reproduction. Psychic suffering was attributed to conflicts in the family; to love life; to poverty and its consequences; to female body regulation; to the multiple violence suffered.
