Mathematics Education in Rural Education: analyzing the Political Pedagogic Project of the Degree Course in Rural Education at UFSC

This study has for purpose to identify the political, social and cultural aspects prescribed in the program for the Rural Education Degree course curriculum, at the Federal University of Santa Catarina, based on its Political Pedagogic Project. For such, we have looked upon the document in effect, and established ranks that help us minimally understand in what way mathematics and mathematical education happen in this course. Such ranks are definem as follows: disciplines in Mathematics qualification and its relationship with the political, social and cultural spheres in Rural Areas; disciplines in Mathematical Education qualification and its relationship with the political, social and cultural spheres in Rural Areas. From this analysis emerged the hope of increasing knowledge about the Rural Education Degree course at UFSC, as well as discussing the aspects related to the training of mathematics teachers who lecture mathematics in elementary schools in a number of different socio-cultural contexts, especially in rural schools.
