The text presents the result of a research whose object of study was CRECE. It aims to show the trajectory of CRECE from its conception (1990) to its institutionalization (2015). It privileges its temporal and geographical cut in relation to the structure of the educational system until its legal recognition. To carry out the study, qualitative research was used, through documentary survey (CELLARD, 2008) and interviews (BOURDIEU, 2001). Theoretically, the studies by Genuíno Bordignon, Luiz Dourado, Rubens Camargo and Luciana Tatagiba, among others, brought important contributions. The multiple faces of the discontinuity of educational policy are evidenced in the clippings presented on the screen, which at the same time reveals a pertinent CRECE and not canceled, since it persists in time and space to establish itself as an educational policy in the municipal school system of São Paulo.
