This paper cames from a broad research derived from a partnership of international scientific agreement between two Public Universities, one Italian and one Brazilian. It aims to discuss the daily home life of families with school-age children in the COVID-19 pandemic. It also intends to problematize possible changes in the routine of Brazilian children, at the expense of absence the schools and the expansion of daily time at homes. The critical-interpretative approach offered to the data was based on the concepts of family life, in accordance with socio-humanist theoretical thinking. Using a mixed approach (quantitative and qualitative), this paper presents part of Brazilian results obtained through an on-line questionnaire, e-survey, in a public opinion format. Participated 478 Brazilian families, mostly located in municipalities in the state of São Paulo. The results indicate that the family structure follows changes proposed by adults as protagonists of a know-how in the domestic daily life transformed by the pandemic. In a socio-humanist theory and Freire's perspective, the changes indicated by the adults occurred through the expansion of the proximity and recognition of the children, in addition to the insertion in the routine of school activities and the recreation of new forms of education under the limits. Changes in the houses indicate the understanding of new configurations that establish educational-dialogical-cooperative relationships between different members, children and adults.
