This research intends to carry out an outline of a theory of sexuality capital having Pierre Bourdieu as reference, dividing it into gender capital and sexual orientation capital, in order to explain that are advantages/disadvantages in identifying with a certain gender or being non-heterosexual in school. Methodologically, the article corresponds to the qualitative approach, in the form of a theoretical essay. As a conclusion of gender capital, was noted that students were directed to higher education courses and professions that correspond to the sexual division of labor. There is also gender violence over female bodies, which can cause the feeling of not belonging to school and, for trans and travesti, the possible expulsion from school. As for the sexual orientation capital, the conclusion was that the school is unhealthy for non-heterosexual students, constant targets of violence, in addition to being the focus of acts of normalization by the pedagogical staff.
