ACCESS AND USE OF TECHNOLOGICAL DEVICES AND INTERNET IN HIGHER EDUCATION IN MINAS GERAIS

This study aims to identify aspects related to the access and use of technological devices and internet networks by professors and students of undergraduate courses in Minas Gerais, specifically those belonging to the academic community of the State University of Minas Gerais, in the context of the Covid-19 pandemic, in 2020. The theoretical and analytical framework are the assumptions of the critical theory of technology. Regarding methodological procedures, an online questionnaire (survey) wasapplied toprofessorsand studentsof the university focused on the research, answered by a sample of 229 professors and 669 students. It was identified that Emergency Remote Education required great didactic-pedagogical adaptations of teachers,as well as acquisitions or improvements of technological devices and internet networks by teachers and students. This study also made it possible to trace the socio-economic profile of the student community and verify the inequalities of educational opportunities experienced in Higher Education.
