The discussion about teaching and learning processes has been a research topic in several Computer Science (CS) areas in Brazil and worldwide. The training of university lectures is configured as a historical challenge constituted since its origins due to its central nature being related to research. Therefore, in this manuscript, we present a study carried out at the Department of Computer Science (DCC) of the Federal University of Bahia (UFBA). We opted for a qualitative approach based on the literature review and document analysis. As procedures, semi-structured interviews and monitoring of classes in undergraduate classes of 09 (nine) professors. This article seeks to contribute to the training of university professors in CS to understand the area's needs and the systemic relationship. We observed that the training offered in undergraduate and graduate courses could be instituted in an interdisciplinary way, with the lecturers fostering the praxis based on didactic-pedagogical and specific research in CS and Educational Technology, emphasizing the knowledge necessary for teaching. As a result, wet highlights the emphasis given to research to the detriment of the didactic-pedagogical training of university lectures at Masters and Doctoral levels, with a need for systemic action between the teaching modalities and reflections on teaching practice in Higher Education.
