This study analyzes theoretical-methodological trends related to the mobilization of David Ausubel’s Theory of Meaningful Learning (TML) in Physics teaching, based on Brazilian dissertations published between 2020 and 2024. It is a descriptive-analytical literature review developed from dissertations available in the Brazilian Digital Library of Theses and Dissertations (BDTD), selected according to previously defined criteria. The research corpus consisted of 12 dissertations with an explicit focus on the application of TML in Physics teaching contexts. The analysis revealed the predominance of pedagogical proposals aimed at High School education, highlighting the use of Potentially Meaningful Teaching Units (PMTU), computer simulations, experimental activities, and concept maps as strategies for mediating learning. The results indicate that TML has been mainly mobilized as a theoretical framework for valuing students’ prior knowledge and for the development of more contextualized and participatory pedagogical practices. The study also identified the concentration of productions in specific institutions and the limited thematic and methodological diversification of the analyzed research. This study contributes to the critical systematization of recent academic production on meaningful learning in Physics teaching, highlighting trends, potentialities, and research gaps in the field.
