This experience report describes the teaching internship carried out by a master's student from a Graduate Program in Health Education during the course Nursing Care for Trauma Patients in Urgent and Emergency Settings, offered within a multiprofessional residency program. The pedagogical approach, grounded in experiential learning, clinical simulation, and active learning methodologies, was organized into three thematic units: triage in mass casualty incidents, advanced trauma life support, and hemorrhage control. Teaching strategies included dialogic lectures, case studies, skills workshops, interactive quizzes, clinical simulation, and structured debriefing. The experience promoted the integration of theory and practice, fostering clinical reasoning, decision-making, communication, teamwork, and critical reflection. The teaching internship provided a valuable opportunity for pedagogical development for the master's student and contributed to residents’ learning, highlighting the potential of experiential learning and clinical simulation in health professions education.
