This essay investigates the emergence and consolidation of the thought of difference in education (PDE) in Brazilian educational research at the beginning of the 21st century. With the philosophy of difference, which stems from post-critical studies alongside curriculum theories, the text is organized into three analytical layers: a genealogical retrieval of the sources of PDE, an analysis of the conceptual tensions between difference" and "diversity, and a discussion of escrileitura (writing-reading) procedures that use excerpts from Caminha’s letter to section themes and the figure of the jaguar, drawing upon these and other poetic intercessors. The work highlights the influence of authors such as Tomaz Tadeu da Silva and Sandra Corazza in the construction of a curriculum that challenges identity-based logic and aesthetic anthropomorphism, making it possible to think in terms of flow and animal force. With Gilles Deleuze and Jacques Derrida as precursors, it concludes that PDE operates as a disposition to evade constraints open to encounters and flows outside of sedimented guidelines.
