This article aims to discuss the relationship between school dropout in basic education and the phenomenon of necropolitics. The methodology used in the research was a theoretical essay based on studies by Mbembe (2016), Carneiro (2005), complementary authors and the use of public documents with social indicators on school dropout, homicides, racism and inequalities in the world of work. As a result, it is pointed out that the educational exclusion of the black population reflects a broader logic of denial of rights, increasing inequalities and limiting possible futures, considering that black children and young people are removed from school due to the need for subsistence in the face of the absence of public policies capable of guaranteeing the presence of these subjects in school, while they are considered enemies of the social order, putting them in the sights of death.
