This article analyzes the experience of Lunda workers within the colonial archives of the
Angola Diamond Company (Diamang), centering on the history of Masseca. Based on this
analysis, we propose an academic writing exercise aligned with poetic sensibility, aiming to
construct a Potential History (Azoulay, 2024) of this historical agent. To this end, we conduct
an interstitial reading (Ribeiro, 2013; Santos, 2016) of Diamang’s administrative documents, seeking to reflect on the agencies and subjectivities that mobilized Masseca's actions. By
adopting a poetic sensibility, this work tensions the form and content of historical knowledge,
demonstrating the possibility of integrating academic rigor with historical imagination.
