The environmental impacts caused by human activities—such as industrial development, deforestation, and the pollution of air and water—have led to significant consequences for our way of life. Over the past decades, these issues have increasingly become the subject of public debate. Society seeks ways to mitigate such impacts and preserve human quality of life. Among the strategies for raising environmental awareness, environmental education stands out, especially when introduced in early childhood. This article, based on qualitative research through a literature review, aims to analyze strategies and solutions for integrating environmental education into early childhood education as a means of fostering critical awareness in children and generating social and economic benefits in the near future. The results of the study highlight three essential measures: the revision of school curricula to incorporate playful methodologies and interdisciplinary projects, investment in the training of teachers and educational staff; and coordinated partnerships among schools, communities, and public institutions. Implementing these measures expands both the ecological awareness of children and the overall scale of sustainable practices within the school environment.
