This study evaluated the effectiveness of a teaching manual as a pedagogical resource in teaching the interpretation of soil chemical analyses to agronomy students at the State University of Feira de Santana (UEFS). The manual was developed based on consolidated technical references and structured in three parts: theoretical foundations, analytical methodologies, and sequential order of interpretation of soil parameters. Applied in theoretical and practical classes of the Soil Chemistry and Fertility course during the 2024.1 and 2024.2 semesters, the material was used in activities such as case studies, technical reports, and seminars, based on active learning methodologies. A questionnaire with 10 binary response questions (yes/no) was administered to 27 students to assess the receptivity and usefulness of the manual. The results indicated that 100% of the students recognized the importance of soil chemical analysis, and high approval ratings were observed in relation to the clarity of the material (100%), usefulness of complementary information (97%), ease of interpretation of technical parameters (100%), and assistance in correcting nutritional deficiencies (97%). The sequential organization of the interpretation steps and the centralization of references were considered to facilitate learning by 97% of respondents. It is concluded that the teaching manual proved to be an effective tool for integrating theory and practice, optimizing the teaching-learning process and contributing to the technical and critical training of students in Soil Science.
