The Instituto Nacional do Cinema Resolutions as identifiers of its worksactivities (1966-1975)

The Instituto Nacional do Cinema (INC) was a Brazilian dictatorship autarchy created to determine the guidelines for the execution of cinematographic activity in Brazil from 1966 to 1975. It had launched 112 Resolutions, normative instruments with rules and guidelines. Understanding this Resolutions as records in time of a given society on a given subject full of connections and updates, this study attempts to verify if it is possible to get the focuses of the Instituto's work based on its Resolutions by reading the summaries of each instrument. The 112 texts were grouped into 13 categories and each Resolution contextualized, highlighting the thematic connection between the instruments. It’s concluded that the Instituto's activities took place on several ways to conquest the Brazilian cinema exhibition rooms, considering the interests of groups in the sector.
