This theoretical investigation aimed to analyze studies conducted in Brazil on Physical Education for early childhood education based on the Cultural-Historical Theory. To this end, a systematic literature review was undertaken. Data were collected from three databases: 1) CAPES Journals; 2) Scientific Electronic Library Online (SciELO); and Google Scholar, covering studies from 2014 to 2024. The findings revealed that the 12 studies analyzed were predominantly associated with researchers and universities located in the southern and southeastern regions of Brazil. The studies were categorized as either theoretical-bibliographic or field research, both grounded in core concepts of the Cultural-Historical Theory, such as activity theory, developmental periodization, and zones of development. This study concludes by highlighting reflectionsfrom the field of Physical Education regarding the potential for developing pedagogical actions rooted in the Cultural-Historical Theory.
