Objective: To identify in the scientific literature the challenges and innovations in teaching bioethics in virtual environments. Method: Integrative literature review study carried out from the online search of texts available in the databases of the Virtual Health Library, from May 30 to June 9, 2023. Results: Eleven studies were found that, upon analysis, were identified as challenges for teaching bioethics in the virtual modality: the difficulty of generating meaningful discussions without physical contact, the need to bring humanistic training to virtual teaching, the need for teachers to transition from the use of traditional media to the online environment, and reflection on personal transformation in the context of the pandemic. The innovations identified include the use of Distance Learning as an active methodology for reflective learning, the use of interactive technologies, learning platforms and multimedia resources. Final considerations: By facing the challenges and implementing innovations, we can advance the teaching of Bioethics in virtual environments, providing better preparation of health professionals to deal with ethical dilemmas and contributing to a more ethical and compassionate clinical practice.
