This article aims to analyze challenges related to the implementation of Education 5.0 in the context of Basic Education. Education 5.0 is an approach that integrates digital technologies and artificial intelligence to develop essential skills for the 21st century. The data were produced from a focus group with seven public school teachers, in which the main challenges of implementing Education 5.0 were discussed. These data were analyzed using Bardin's Content Analysis and organized into three categories and subcategories. The results show that, although teachers recognize the potential of digital technologies, they face difficulties in the pedagogical use of these instruments and require ongoing training. In addition, the lack of investment limits the advancement of Education 5.0. For the research participants, the challenges for implementing Education 5.0 are related to the teacher, the student, and/or the provider.
