This article investigates the intersections between science, gender and education, analyzing how gender inequalities manifest themselves in academic discussion spaces, with the central focus being the works presented at the Brazilian Sociology Congresses held between 2003 and 2021. The methodology used was bibliometrics, using as a selection the selection of groups of works with the descriptor “gender” and/or “feminism” in their call, from the period 2003 to 2021. After selecting the works by title and abstract, the works were excluded. who did not present the complete works, therefore, we sought to analyze what themes have been researched by researchers in these Work Groups, what is the expressiveness of studies focused on the relationship between education, science, and gender, as well as the insertion of black feminisms in this production. The articles were selected based on thematic sections that encompass the interrelationship between education, science, and gender. Thus, the results indicated that there are gender inequalities in academic discussion spaces resulting in female underrepresentation in fields such as engineering and physics; a difficulty in using mixed methodologies, with the centrality of the traditional way of producing science, along the androcentric lines; and also a need to introduce debates about the presence of women in different fields of power/knowledge.
