This article is the result of master's research in the field of Education. The objective was to investigate the factors that affect the health of teachers who work in Basic Education in the pandemic and post-pandemic period. As a background, we address the scenario of educational policies and the factors that cause teacher malaise. To evaluate this context, we developed qualitative research, a case study in a public school in the south of Santa Catarina. A questionnaire was applied to 37 teachers, revealing three categories: (1) General Characteristics of Teachers; (2) Health of Teachers in Basic Education; and (3) Impacts of the Pandemic and Post-Pandemic on Teacher Health. The research highlighted precarious working conditions that negatively impacted teaching health. The pandemic and post-pandemic period has intensified pre-existing work-related illnesses. These results reinforce the urgency of interventions for a healthier work environment, crucial for educational success.
