Post-COVID conditions (PCC) are characterized by high prevalence and diverse symptoms that significantly impact individuals' lives. The aim of this study was to identify the prevalence of PCC and to examine their association with sociodemographic and health conditions. A telephone survey was conducted with adults who had contracted COVID-19 in 2020 and 2021. The association between variables was assessed using statistical tests and prevalence ratios. In multivariate analysis, associations were determined through logistic regression. A total of 1,721 individuals were interviewed, with a mean age of 43 years (SD = 13.23). According to the WHO case definition, 77.4% of participants exhibited PCC. Among the PCC cases, 64.41% were women and 35.59% were men. Factors independently associated with PCC included male sex (PR = 0.43; 95% CI: 0.26-0.73), absence of hospitalization due to COVID-19, higher income, private outpatient care during the acute phase, and pre-existing health conditions. The high prevalence of PCC and its associations with sex, economic factors, access to healthcare services, and other chronic morbidities underscore the necessity for targeted care for affected individuals and a coordinated response to this chronic condition by the Brazilian Unified Health System (SUS).
