We humans use tools and technologies, that is, non-human objects and entities, to expand our abilities and senses. The research presents a preliminary view of the construction of the thesaurus for the Programa Dinheiro Direto na Escola, where we use the theoretical/methodological foundations present in the literature from the field of information representation, which involves the organization, description, categorization, and retrieval of information in various formats. Additionally, the artificial intelligence artifacts developed by OpenAI, which use the ChatGPT architecture and the software for the development of the Applied Semantic Thesaurus, were employed. Through empirical study as the research methodology, we used a qualitative approach with exploratory, descriptive, and explanatory purposes, along with bibliographic and netnographic field procedures. In the analyses and discussions, it was observed that collaboration between humans and artificial systems leverages the best of both worlds. By working together, humans and non-humans learn from their interactions, enhancing their domains and knowledge. This continuous interaction promotes a cycle of improvement that benefits both parties. It is concluded that existing limitations and challenges are opportunities for complementarity and growth, demonstrating that the union between different forms of intelligence can be more powerful than any one of them alone.
