This article analyzes the resistance of the Yanomami to the attacks of extractivist colonialism as an example of the need to build a new vision on political and economic decisions regarding native peoples and their knowledge, as well as environmental preservation. The environmental and anti-humanity crimes committed in recent decades, the inability of public institutions and the struggle of associations for the protection of the Yanomami, such as Hutukara and Urihi, show us the articulations of the political and economic dispute, making IT and its people a strong report of this clash against the need for (r)existence that the original peoples engage in the public sphere.
