This multidisciplinary work proposes new insights and reflections on the multifaceted Brazilian educational reality. It is based on a methodology that generates more opportunities for questions than answers. An unsupervised exploratory data analysis was implemented, along with visual and graphic innovations in a multidimensional context. The database consisted of the Basic Education Development Index (Ideb) and the School Census, restricted to public elementary schools. A plurality of patterns was obtained, including both known results from the literature and unpublished ones, offering new perspectives for analysis, especially regarding the federative units. The methodology has shown to be reliable and robust, enabling the expansion of the scope in future studies.
