The creation of educational products in the context of Professional and Technological Education cannot ignore the epistemological bases of the modality. It should also seek students' perceptions to locate important aspects of the social practice of learning themes. This movement allows the creation of contextualized, meaningful intervention proposals, with the potential to impact reality. However, this contact with students must be mediated by the investigative and attentive eye of the teacher, who can use research instruments to carry out this mediation. This article shows how a diagnostic study provided fundamental subsidies for the construction a proposal of a conceptual axis, a pedagogical axis and a communicational axis for an appropriate didactic material to explore the theme of entrepreneurship with students in a technical course in administration. In this sense, a semi-structured questionnaire was prepared. This instrument investigated the socioeconomic profile of the students, the relationship of the respondents with the world of work, with the school, with the course and with the social practice of entrepreneurship. The descriptive and content analysis of the responses indicated that practical activities can increase students' motivation to learn topics related to entrepreneurship, thus suggesting the use of active methodologies.
