Education and Health: reflections on the university context in times of COVID-19

Faced with the pandemic caused by the new Coronavirus, the world is building emergency actions to meet the most varied demands. Social detachment closed universities and started to demand a new educational model, based on a greater use of technology to continue with the contents scheduled for the current semester. However, the difficulty in accessing technology, which is still present in a large part of our society, is one of the points that strongly contributes to the removal of students from the training process and contributes to the distance observed between the decisions and emergency actions adopted by universities public and private. The training of future health professionals is even more challenging in this context, since distance education is insufficient to achieve the skills required to care for human beings in all their complexity.Downloads
