        Abstract

There are several options in the production of hydrogen, but the price for obtaining it is high and some technical problems remain unresolved, likewise, storage of hydrogen is another challenge especially on the issue of safety. [Objective] The purpose of this study is to explore some alternatives that can be made for hydrogen so that it can function properly in internal combustion engines. [Methodology] The scientific research methodology of this study is based on a systematic process of mixed search: qualitative - quantitative, organizational, and with an analysis of the documentation, based on an exhaustive bibliographical review. [Results] Among the results of this research, the hydrogen storage problem can be solved by using methylcyclohexane, or alternatively, the transport vehicle generates its own hydrogen. This can solve the complexity of storage and even give a solution, in the cost for obtaining hydrogen. [Conclusion] The study concluded that the location of the hydrogen injection plays a fundamental role, finally we should highlight the great synergy of mixture that can be generated, both the hydrogen with methane, in production, storage, distribution and even for combustion in internal combustion engines.
