The measurement of research culture is an essential factor in the understanding of the organizational components that condition and sustain related activities in university institutions. The aim of this article was to evaluate the psychometric qualities of the research culture scale in a sample of Peruvian undergraduate and graduate students. The research was framed within the instrumental positivist-quantitative paradigm. For data collection, a scale in digital format was applied, consisting of 33 items. As for the psychometric processes, content validity was developed by means of Aiken's V coefficient and construct validity. The internal consistency analysis was carried out using Cronbach's alpha and the correlation technique. Additionally, a scale based on the variable percentage technique was applied, according to the structure of the instrument. It is concluded that the CIIDE scale complies with the psychometric processes of validity and reliability. In this sense, it presents practical usefulness insofar as it allows to objectively identify the circumstances, conditions and contradictions that sustain the development of the research culture.
