This is a testimony given by Italo Moriconi Junior in August 2023. It forms part of the online archive of the post-doctoral research project "Ana Cristina Cesar`s critical connections: new views about Brazilian literature of the 20th century" (FAPESP – FFLCH – USP) and explores Cesar's relationship with the theories of Mário de Andrade and Antonio Candido, as well as describing her intellectual contributions to the Opinião newspaper during the 1970s.
