This article explores an ontological proposal for cybernetics studies. begins with a discussion of different ontological perspectives discussed by various cybernetists, concluding that Gilbert Simondon's philosophical proposal is sufficient to account for the nature of cybernetics. It then presents a synthesis of the most relevant concepts of Simondon's philosophical proposal, focusing on individuation applied to technical objects (individualization).
