Digital Organization Capabilities: what leaders or managers need to know

The discussion of the phenomenon of Digital Business Transformation is a contemporary topic that has shown wide interest among academics and practitioners. Despite the existence of many studies in international and national literature, there is still a lack of research that offers a systemic / holistic view focusing on organizational change, triggered, and shaped continuously by digital technology. This research, in addition to having identified and compared how this theme was conceptualized (defined) and used in practice by up to eight global business consultancies, also proposes an expanded reference structure (framework), containing nine dimensions of Digital Organization Capabilities. As implications of this study, managers or organizational leaders will be able to adopt the proposed reference structure [guided by each of its nine dimensions], in the continued support and guidance of the development of their Digital Transformation projects.
