This article aims to analyze the relationship between the Federação dos Trabalhadores na Agricultura Familiar do Estado do Rio Grande do Sul (FETRAF-RS) and the State during the right-wing governments between 2016 and 2022 in Brazil, highlighting the repertoire of actions used by the organization during previous governments and the transformations that occurred during the analyzed period. The methodology employed is qualitative and consisted of content analysis of the dissemination of FETRAF's actions in publications on its Facebook page in four delimited periods: 1) from the foundation of the organization until its first year of existence, still under the PT (Workers' Party) government (August 2014 - August 2015); 2) during the final months of the last PT government and the early months of the Michel Temer government (2016); 3) during the second and final year of the Temer government (2018); 4) during the Jair Bolsonaro government, considering the period of the return to in-person activities for most activities after the coronavirus pandemic (2021/2 to 2022/1). As a result, it was identified that there was a distancing from the State after the end of the cycle of governments led by the Workers' Party (PT), the reduction of public policies for the sector, and a decrease in financial resources, which generated difficulties in the relationship with the base.
