The article aims to highlight intellectual affiliations of research groups in Brazil with the works of Professor Emerita at Berkeley, Hanna Fenichel Pitkin, who passed away on May the sixth, 2023. Her vast production includes themes from the history of European political thought, the philosophy of language, psychoanalysis, second wave feminist theory and fiction. In Brazil it is possible to find an intellectual reference list of published works that dialogue with her thoughts. Its reading allows us to observe that, based on the theme of political representation in a democratic context present in contemporary theoretical approaches, a conglomerate of related themes is presented, as well as intellectual affiliations and affinities can be identified regarding the relationship between state, society and inequalities in the country.
