Abstract

This research has as its central objective to analyze the songs of the group Minha Raízes, coming from traditional populations of the Baixo Madeira specifically from the community of Nazaré guided by thinkers such as Adorno (2017) and Cunha (2009). Thus, a data collection was made through interviews with the members of the group Minha Raízes, all the songs of the investigated albums were transcribed, analyzing from the axes of identity and environment. Giving the qualitative character of this research. The data found and analyzed demonstrate that the songs are representations of the community, presenting issues such as the tensions between cosmologies, riverside identity, commensality, leisure practices and the relations between humanity and nature located in the society of the capital
