Abstract

This work is based on the concern with the increasing rates of feminicide in Brazil, a topic of great gravity and relevance. In this context, the objective of the present study is to analyze how the literature approaches feminicide, as well as its fight through protection laws and coping strategies. As a methodology for this study, we opted for a narrative review of the literature, carried out by searching publications in the databases: BVS, PePsic, SciELO and Redalyc. 28 manuscripts were selected to compose the study. Based on studies and discussions, it is clear that it is necessary to keep in mind that health professionals, together with social workers, must support and provide a back-up in the handling of cases of violence against women, exercising their fundamental role in the construction of actions educational, preventive and confronting feminicide.

Mara Dantas Pereira, Universidade Tiradentes - UNIT

Degree in Psychology from the University Tiradentes - UNIT (2019). He is currently a Senior Member of the Tiradentes Psychoanalysis League - LIPT / UNIT; Collaborator and Member of the Human Motricity Biosciences Laboratory League - LABIMH / UNIT and Member of the Education, Technologies and Contemporary Research Group - GPETEC / UNIT.

Jamille Maria de Araújo Figueiredo, Universidade Federal de Sergipe - UFS

Master in Psychology from the Federal University of Sergipe - UFS (2019); Specialization in Multiprofessional Residency in Public Health (2016). She is currently a PhD student at the Stricto Sensu Graduate Program in Psychology - PPGPSI / UFS; Preceptor Professor and Technical Responsible of the Psychology Clinic at UNIT. In addition, he is a Professor of the Neuropsychopedagogical Curricular Component in the UNIT Graduate Distance Learning Course.

Míria Dantas Pereira, Universidade Tiradentes - UNIT
