Team Care and Professional Identity in Health: Graduation and Post-Graduation as a Window of Opportunity.

Abstract

This integrative review analyzes aspects of professional identity (PI) in multiprofessional health teams, since graduation. Twenty-two articles were studied, in a period of five years, from the Embase, Scopus and Web of Science databases, classified into eleven professional categories, resulting in six articles with undergraduate students, five with professional internships and eleven with health professional. The process of constructing the PI of residents and professionals who work in the hospital environment was analyzed, noting that, for the medical profession, a paradigm shift is necessary about PI and teamwork, while for the other professionals it is necessary to develop the IP process in the work environment, as an important factor for the management of conflicts between the members of the health teams.
